  • Curriculum Overview

    • St. Mary Preschool, established in 1988, is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. Our curriculum meets the Early Learning and Development Standards set by the State of Ohio and the Diocese of Cleveland. We have ongoing communication with both Hudson and Seton Schools to make sure our curriculum meets their kindergarten readiness expectations. Activities are developmentally appropriate and are designed to support each child’s pace of learning.

      • Religious education is an integral part of the curriculum.
      • The development of social skills, motor skills, language and literacy skills, and math and science are all integrated into the daily lesions.

    • Our Mission

We believe that each child is created by God and uniquely gifted with many capabilities which must be nurtured by both family and community. Therefore, we support our early childhood learning center which promotes the spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of our young children. In this way, we are responding to the words and actions of Jesus as related in Mark’s Gospel: “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs…then He laid His hands on them and gave them His blessings.”

    • Our Goals

      To help each child...

      • learn that he/she is a child of God and will grow in His love
      • develop a positive self-image
      • develop basic social skills: enjoy being part of a group, learn to share and cooperate
      • increase independence
      • develop a trust in his/her teacher
      • develop large and small muscle coordination
      • develop an enthusiasm for learning and acquire kindergarten readiness skills
      • Develop problem solving strategies and creativity
      • Be prepared for a successful transition into kindergarten

    • St. Mary Parish Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other    school-administered programs.
