St. Mary PSR provides faith formation for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Our goal is to help children become disciples of Christ who know, live and love our Catholic faith. We engage children and families through a variety of classes and programs such as Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Vacation Bible School, and a Nativity Pageant/Family Advent Night.

In 2017-2018, we will offer the following faith formation options (see individual tabs for more information and dates):

  • Traditional PSR Classes: Offered on Monday or Tuesday evenings, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm, September – May.
  • Family PSR: Family PSR is a new concept which blends intergenerational faith formation and homeschool study. The whole family attends five “Super Sundays” throughout the school year and complete textbook assignments with their children at home between sessions. Family PSR is limited to fifty families. Second graders will be accepted if they completed first grade PSR and with prior approval of the director.
  • Homeschool PSR: Homeschool PSR supports and encourages parents as the primary religious educators of their children. Parents share the textbook at home with their children. Students complete online assessments after each chapter. Second graders will be accepted if they completed first grade PSR and with prior approval of the director.
  • Catechesis for Children with Autism, Down Syndrome and other Special Needs: Taught by volunteer catechists with training and experience in working with children who have special needs. New parents please contact the PSR office to make an appointment to learn what we can offer your child.

Registration will be offered through the parish website July 1 – August 20, 2017. After that, students will be accepted if space is available, with a $20/child late fee. If you need scholarship assistance, please contact Lisa Davidson at ldavidson@stmaryhudson.cc.
