CYO Athletics allows young people to experience spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional growth through participation in sports. Fall, winter, and spring sports are sponsored for athletes in grades 1-12. CYO St. Mary Parish has over 300 youth and high school athletes who participate in CYO athletics each school year. We are hoping for volunteers to help with program needs and would be honored to have you join the CYO administration team. See the list of open positions to the left. 1. Publicist: 

   • Maintain Facebook posts, bulletin write-ups, Flocknote coordination, and St. Mary website pages by collecting information from the Athletic Director and Head Coaches.

   • Coordinate seasonal CYO mass with the parish secretary.

2. Coaching Compliance Coordinator: 

   • Help coaches locate, coordinate, and update CYO compliance items at the start of each season.

   • Work directly with the Athletic Director and Parish Compliance Coordinator.

3. Athlete Advisor: 

   • Organize and help parents/guardians to turn in the appropriate paperwork for their athlete(s) to participate in CYO sports at the beginning of each season by working directly with the Athletic Director and Registrar.

   • Communicate with Head Coaches when their team’s compliance is in order or not valid.

4. Registrar: 

   • Open and close registration for each season. 

   • Work with a Sports Pilot web programmer to aid the process. 

   • Work with the Athletic Director to set program registration fees.

   • Update the team roster changes throughout the season.

5. Facility Planner: 

   • Negotiate nonprofit pricing, collect contract requirements/signatures, and make sure all invoices are paid for prior to each season for indoor and outdoor rental locations.

   • Coordinate with Hudson City Parks and Recreation for outdoor rentals.

   • Work with coaches to set practice locations and times based on facility negotiations.

   • Provide Cleveland Diocese CYO coordinator with a list of all off-site locations for liability insurance.

6. Uniform and Equipment Manager: 

   • Design each season's uniforms and spiritwear.

   • Distribute uniforms and spiritwear to all Head Coaches for distribution.

   • Work directly with the Athletic Director and Registrar to update all coaching binders each season.

   • Distribute and collect all additional equipment each season.
