We invite you to a Eucharistic Holy Hour to pray for victims of clerical abuse this Monday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. A Liturgy of the Word service including a homily and intercessions for victims will accompany the hour of Eucharistic Adoration. Jesus’ Eucharistic Heart goes out to all who have suffered injustice, especially by the evil committed by members of the clergy. We will gather as a Eucharistic family to pray for healing in and for our Church by dedicating time in prayer to those who are hurting.
In response to the report out of Pennsylvania about the child sexual abuse scandal, we will be hosting four listening sessions on Monday and Tuesday, September 10 & 11 and again on September 17 & 18.
Fr. Ed or Fr. Scott together with one of the Pastoral staff members will be present to respond to the concerns raised by the people gathered. In order to insure each person attending has the opportunity to speak, we are limiting the size of each group to 25 participants.
If you are interested, please reserve a place in one of the sessions by calling (330.653.8118 ext. 221) or emailing (firstname.lastname@example.org) the parish office. If the number of those wanting to participate is greater than the capacity of these four sessions, additional sessions will be added in the coming weeks.
The sessions will take place in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m.
