Quilt Ministry
If you or someone you know is going through a significant difficulty, please contact me . There is no cost and many benefits. If you would like to join our group of quilters, we meet twice a month: the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-9:00pm and the third Thursday of each month at 9:30am. We meet at First Congregational Church, 47 Aurora Street in the Friends classroom. Regardless of your level of expertise, you are welcome…we have something for everyone.
Psalm

This ministry provides a small quilt to those who have lost a baby through a miscarriage or neonatal death.
Feed
My Sheep Ministry
(FMS) Our new food ministry was developed to address a need within our church community. This ministry is two- fold. We gather as a group to prepare and freeze meals / soup/ bread for those times when a meal is needed now. We also provide meals on a rotating basis to those parishioners who are experiencing difficulties due to illness or emergencies. Please contact me if you are in need or would like to join the ministry.
Monthly Blood Pressure Screening
The 3rd Sunday of every month, registered nurses are available to check blood pressures following all Masses. A health tip and healthy recipe are shared each month also. We should all know our BP numbers and what they mean. I am available to take blood pressures on an individual basis, just call the office and give me a date and time to meet you.

Walking Group – We meet every Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 8:15am. We walk two laps around Hudson Park Spring (3.6 miles) Severe weather is the only reason we will not meet. CPR
I have CPR home mannequins and videos. CPR is a life saving action. Many times people are afraid to perform CPR…”What if I do it wrong?” … “I can’t remember how many compressions” and so on. There are 2 steps to saving a life: #1 Call 911 and #2 Push Hard and Fast in the center of the chest. This is called “Hands Only” CPR and can more than double a victim’s chance of survival. If you would like to take the kit home, please let me know. I am available for follow-up questions or concerns. This is a unique learning opportunity where you can learn to save a life in the privacy of your own home.
Friendly Visitor Program
Dave Allerton heads this group of dedicated volunteers who visit those individuals who are either homebound or are in nursing homes. If you know of a parishioner who would benefit from a visit or if you would like to become a Friendly Visitor, please contact me.
Blood
Drives
St Mary hosts 4 blood drives a year for the American Red Cross. St Mary continues to meet their donor numbers with each drive. Watch the bulletin for our next drive date.
